We based our opinion on the excellent food and service at the Ladysmith A W. I had heard that the Parksville restaurant was under new management, so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was absolutely spotless, the server was cheerful, the service was fast, and the furniture appears to be brand new. The food could have been a bit hotter. Hue had a teen burger and onion rings. I had a papa burger and fries. We will be back.
Twice I have tried this a&w and both times food was inedible.. stale onion rings stale fries that look like they refried them and the bun had mould Never will go here again
The workers are terrible here don’t care about you as a customer . Just Terrible service I will not be back .Wendy’s opens soon and they will probably put you guys out of business
Nice enough and pleasant staff but what a disgraceful drive through ‘visually’ ! Greasy vent oozing slime down the wall at the pick-up booth. Filthy window, dirty uncleaned forever window ledge, window frames that need paint, ugly concrete pylon screaming to be painted, dripping muck down the wall under the pick-up window. Curb paint 20 yrs old. C’mon…. who’s the half blind owner of this rancid arrangement. A&W headquarters would freak if they saw this disgrace !
We have eaten here for years but this time I tried to use the mobile app to place the order and after entering the whole order it said this location does not do mobile orders. Would have been nice if the app would know that. Drove to the restaurant and placed the order which was just three burgers and one fry. 20 minutes later still waiting, asked if it was much longer and they said the order got missed and she had the order slip in her hand! Finally got home and found one burger was missing its cheese. No one ever said they were sorry for the bad service and delay. Everyone makes mistakes but an apology goes a long way.
