We ordered vegetable puffs, scallops for starters which were delicious. A tad expensive with 4 dollars for each scallop! However, it was really good. We then ordered the papaya salad and crispy chilly soft shell crab. The flap outs were bust sting out of the dishes, they were so yum. But people with low tolerance to chilly should seriously stay away. There were 2 customers, my friend included, who were literally exasperated! I loved the boldness of the dishes. A quite quaint place, highly recommended...
Ordered from this place through uber eats and it was delivered fairly quickly. The food was pretty good but I felt that the pad Thai had veggies which were a bit boring like carrot and capsicum and lacked things like broccoli and tofu.Other than that, Ther food was quite flavoursome and cooked well.Good for a late night meal if you're into Thai and want quick service.Price was pretty average compared to other Thai restaurants.
First thing I usually look for in a laksa are the sediments bottom of the bowl. This laksa lack just that. Because of that, the soup lacked a bit of depth. However having said that, the laksa soup itself was creamy and thick. The coconut milk/cream added back some character to the laksa. It was also a little too much chilli for my liking. The laksa was served with bean sprouts, tofu, chicken, some fried shallots and rice vermicelli noodles. I usually prefer vermicelli with egg hokkien noodles, but that's just a preference. Chicken was rough and over cooked. It pales comparing to next door Tamesek. Their chicken are shredded from their haianese chicken, which is soft, tender and cooked to perfection. Overall not too bad, $10.90 gets you a can of soft drink to go with it for lunch. I wouldn't go back for laksa there again though. If I was looking to have laksa, I'll go next door Tamesek.
My colleagues and I always go there for lunch. This place has great lunch deal. My favorite is vegetable Tom Yum noodle soup. It is just full of flavour and pack with fresh veggies. The veggie dishes here are always amazingly fresh and nice. Green Curry and pak kee mao are quite nice as well. If you like spicy food, just tell them, they can make it real spicy.Staff at lunch time are not always very friendly.
