Waba Grill - Pasadena

Food is always fresh and to order. Service is always really fast.

I received my food lukewarm, and the cashier who took my order seemed quite confused. Additionally, she coughed right after taking my order and didn't wash her hands. I definitely won’t be returning.

Tables inside were not furnished. Not allowed or can eat inside. Ate in the parking lot on the ground. Being rated 1 star, but because the staff who took the order was friendly and gave 2 stars. Will eat at Flamebroiler right away.

WaBa Grill offers a wonderful dining experience, especially for those on a protein-rich diet. The presentation is impressive, with the rice neatly separated from the meat or tofu. In contrast, Yoshinoya tends to mix the meat juices into the rice, which can make everything a bit soggy. Plus, WaBa Grill includes free jalapeños and carrots with your meal, adding a delicious touch.

A couple months ago, I ordered and pre-paid on my phone for a meal for pickup at their Arroyo location during their posted business hours, and the store was locked up and closed with no signage about closing early when I arrived. While I was still in the parking lot, two other parties showed up for their pickups and, like me, found the store closed. I never heard from anyone at the store about what happened to my money or food. We are all trying to be cooperative during these interesting times but other food businesses, like Starbucks, alert you on their apps if pre-ordering is not available either due to early closure or high volume of in-store activity. Anyway, WaBa got my $15 and I got to drive away hungry. This was my first and only experience here.
