Le Pilota - Pau

Two times in a row, in the room of 2 years this place has summed our booking for a table for 5, just a few weeks before the date, and last this week we only discovered if we only confirm... and had not disturbed to contact us to let us know! Every time it was because the place was booked later and so individual bookings received the Heave ho. So do not book this place with any confidence, and we will not try again

It's in the sports centre. One of the meal options is where the food is brought in a canvas bag. It sounds crazy, but it's really fun to try. Failing that their regular menu is also good for an informal business... lunch.

We visited this restaurant during the night at the nearby Hotel Altica, en route from Spain to England. The hotel recipe had told us it was the next restaurant. That was so, and when we spoke very little French, we had little idea what to expect. We were not disappointed. The selection of dishes and wines was excellent and when it arrived, the quality was excellent. We felt that the prices were a bit on the high side, but perhaps that was because we just left Spain after the best part of 10 years and were not used to the French prices. The only drawback was that the employees, although friendly, were somewhat less attentive than we would like.
