The pork and the ribs were weren't bad. The chopped brisket was terrible. It was dry and hard to chew. We couldn't finish it and it was thrown away. Save your money and head to Hot Spot, Dickies, or Sonny's.
Heard a lot about this place. Figured my wife and I would give it a shot. I was immediately disappointed with my experience. As soon as he told me my total. For two people it was $50. The portion is that we got they speak for themselves. Very small. The food was mediocre and the portions were small especially for the price point. Being that Pensacola is so close to New Orleans, We have actually had New Orleans barbecue and spent much less than that and fed two people and had the real deal. This is what happens when corporate America takes over a barbecue joint in franchises it out. The staff was friendly and attentive. That was the only positive. The atmosphere was okay. The tables were clean. But really just the whole turn off was the price point and the amount of food that we got for that. You can see the enclosed pictures and judge for yourself. If you want barbecue your best bet is going to a mom and pop joint that is local
We ordered here for pick up using the link on google maps. When we arrived they had no order. So don’t use the google ordering link here. I’ve had mixed success using that. At any rate we ordered take out at the counter, somewhat aggravated. Surprisingly our order for four was ready in less than 10 minutes. No complaints against Voodoo. The food was great and had huge servings. Arrive hungry. The atmosphere is cool and service was good. We will definitely be back. Urban Cowgill
This was my first visit, but it will not be my last. The food was great which is why most people go out to eat, makes up for the fast food seating and atmosphere. My group had a variety of their food choices, and all looked good, but my blackened shrimp was excellent!
So I’ve been on this BBQ kick and decided to check out VooDoo today. First I’d like to say, EVERYONE was so friendly They have a lunch special which consists of a sandwich, side and drink for 9.99+tx I choose the chicken sandwich with their bbq baked beans…..NOT disappointed! The chicken was smoked to perfection! I’m not a spicy eater, but those beans had just the right kick. They have sauce at the table…I only tried two of three, but they were ok. I prefer a thick sauce, but this was still good.
