There's a mannequin in skydiving gear hanging from the wall, along with numerous photos of celebrities—rest in peace, Patrick Swayze—as well as local and international skydiving groups. The Bomb Shelter has two sections, and we opted for the one with the bar. I definitely treated myself to a spicy Bloody Mary with extra olives—thank you! For food, you simply walk up to the chow line to place your order. The menu is straightforward, which I appreciate. I’m sure there’s something for everyone here! I went with the pancakes, and they were spot on. I’m quite picky about my butter, but at least the butter was served at room temperature! I also ordered over medium eggs and sausage links on the side. I devoured every bite! To our surprise, there was a classic car show happening the day we visited, typically held on the first Sunday of the month. We got lucky! While the show officially starts at 1 pm, car owners like to secure their spots along the runway early, so the parking lot was buzzing with activity. There were also DJs playing music! The venue boasts a spacious parking lot, convenient bathrooms near the bar, and plenty of outdoor seating—both shaded and sun deck options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
We found ourselves at this restaurant after receiving a $15 discount coupon from our hot air balloon ride with Skyline Balloons. The staff was very friendly when accepting the coupon and handled our order in a typical manner. The prices for breakfast were around average, ranging from $10 to $15 per person. The French toast was fluffy and cooked perfectly. One of my favorite aspects of the place was the collection of photos showcasing people’s skydiving experiences. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit, it’s a solid option if you’re in the area.
Relax at Perris Valley Airport @skydive_perris while enjoying Fish and Chips from @bombshelter.restaurant. I'm grateful to @perris.chamber for the gift card to support my favorite local grill. Don't miss the car show on January 7th from 1-4 PM!
Went to Bombshelter for the first time to grab a drink and a bite to eat and it was the worst experience I ever had. No one spoke to me until I went to the bar area and after I finished drinking my Long Island which wasn't the best I went to the other side to order food no one ever acknowledged me and two employees seen me standing at the order area for about 10 mins and didn't ask me once if I needed help to place order some food so I left and will never come back here again but this happens when you are dining while BLACK!!!
I don't skydive but I'd imagine this is like Disneyland for the skydive community? Super cool vibe. Wish the bartenders were a bit more attentive but sometimes they're short staffed. Burgers are bomb and the beers are always cold.
