Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónCalling all food enthusiasts! If you're on the lookout for the best and most consistent Japanese cuisine in Perth, look no further than Taka. This casual dining gem has been satisfying taste buds since 2000, and it remains a favorite haunt of mine. Over the years, Taka has managed to preserve its charm and authenticity, with little change except for the prices. In fact, it continues to be one of the more affordable options in the city. Prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure as Taka never disappoints. Each dish is freshly cooked and bursting with flavor. It's a testament to their commitment to quality and attention to detail. Now, here's a pro tip: make sure you arrive before 4 PM to secure your favorites. With such popularity, some sought-after items tend to sell out quickly. Honestly, it's hard to single out a specific dish to recommend because every option at Taka is exceptional. From the sashimi to the sushi rolls and everything in between, your taste buds are in for a treat.
Despite looking like a cheap food court style restaurant, I was hopeful that the food would be good given how highly rated this place was. Sadly it was not the case. Between the three of us we ordered the beef udon, beef ramen, unagi eel) with rice, chicken karage fried chicken) and the gyozas dumplings). All the dishes except the chicken karage, tasted like poor imitation of japanese food. The beef in the udon was inconsistent some slices were nice and soft, others were almost unchewable. The more concerning part was that the beef was actually cold. I had to dunk it in the soup to warm it up to an edible level. The ramen tasted like instant noodles The gyozas were deep fried, dry and had a cheap tasting chinese dumpling filling. We didn't finish this cos it was so bad. We were so disappointed that we didn't finish our meal and literally wandered down the road to another japanese restaurant to give our taste buds a proper feed. Proper good cheap eats shouldn't be this bad. :
I have their kaarage all the time, with their Japanese rice and its just so comforting. I usually do a take out then enjoy it before bedtime. Kaarage is really good, crispy and juicy bits of boneless chicken
Fifty metres from our apartment hotel. What could go wrong? S couldn’t finish her tasteless teriyaki chicken, the tea was cold, my fish was paper thin between a hard batter. This is the kind of school canteen cafe with very cheap meals and where they have to lock the restrooms. The young backpackers (mostly Asian) seemed to be having a great time. The noise was deafening. There are better places for elderly people to dine suggest you look around.
I love this most popular Japanese restaurant. Meals are freshly prepared with a generous and affordable range. Free miso with many meals. Free tea as well.
