Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe wanted to have short lunch right before our tour to a quinta. Iur waiter showed us the lunch manu that included 2 options, along with a soup. We both ordered a fish and after 2 minutes my wife changed her mind. We were told it was too late. 25 minutes later we have been served with the main course. We ended up paying 6 euros for the bread and olives and 3 euro for water. Dissapointing
It was a terrible evening. We ordered a bottle of wine that we wanted to taste. Our waiter overrode our choice saying that we had to drink a bottle of Douro wine. We had been drinking Douro wine before we arrived and we knew what we wanted but we were not permitted to have it. With no option, we drank our waiter’s pick, predictably not to our taste. The service was slow and the food dull. The Padron peppers were unnecessarily hot, the tempura green beans unnecessarily cold, When asked how we would like the veal cooked, we said medium. It arrived rare. Once again, we asked for a bottle of the wine we wanted to taste. We were told: “no, you will have an Albariño”. We escaped from this autocratic environment as soon as we could and found ourselves at a wine bar further down the road where our host was charming and happy to respond to our requested choice. What a contrast. The staff at the Jerere shoukd think again. Perhaps another career? One not involving hospitality?
