Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI work for this company at a different location, and I’m embarrassed to say that after my recent visit to this hotel. The staff was nice, but the room was disappointing. It smelled like cigarettes, and I had booked a deluxe suite with a sofa sleeper, as I was traveling with three people and needed the extra space. Instead, we only had two queen beds, which created an awkward situation since we had to decide who would share. I had called ahead to confirm my booking, and the representative assured me that my room would be on the first floor, which would have been ideal. However, upon arrival, I found myself on the third floor instead. Additionally, parking costs $10, and I had to pay a deposit that I wasn’t informed about, despite calling twice to clarify everything. Overall, it was a really terrible experience.
We immediately reported this to the reception, but Nikia claimed there were no other rooms available and walked away without further explanation. After about five minutes, she returned, but instead of addressing our concerns about the room, she informed us that we owed $10 per day for parking. We pointed out that the website where we booked indicated that parking was free. Nikia responded that since we had a dog, we needed to pay, despite my friend mentioning this when we made the reservation. She seemed more interested in extracting additional fees from us than in offering a solution for our accommodation issue. Frustrated, I asked her to refund our money so we could leave. At that point, another young woman with red dreadlocks (whose name tag was missing) joined Nikia, and both of them spoke rudely about us while we waited for a refund. A short time later, the dreadlocked girl slammed some paperwork on the counter and left. When my friend inquired about it, the young lady replied dismissively that it was her reception. When my friend questioned her lack of communication, she snapped back that it wasn't her fault we couldn't hear. We still haven't received an immediate refund; instead, we are left waiting. I strongly advise others against staying at this facility. If linens are soiled, they should be discarded—who wants to sleep on a blood-stained mattress? We have photos of the evidence but were apprehensive about removing the cover to document the stains up close, as they were quite visible already. This place and its staff are incredibly unprofessional, and I believe the entire reception team should be replaced.
The first room the front desk gave us reeked of oder all kinds mold, musk, people, etc. The floors looked like they had red juice throwing party it was flat out Disgusting. I ask the front desk if they had a better room. Which she did give me. It was a lot better. However they had a rolling chair on a slippery floor the chair slid from under me. Trying to catch myself my arm got caught on the desk/table I fell on the floor and hit my head. Ouch. As if that wasn't enough. I sat on the foot of the bed and the whole bed flipped up and me on the floor. And I'm not a big woman at all, I'm 5.5 147lbs. I told the front desk upon leaving they laughed it off. I suppose this is the sort of thing that happens often there. Sorry but it's no go for me.
I waited nearly 10 minutes for someone at reception to assist us, only to find out they were on a smoke break. When we finally got to the room, it was in terrible condition. The sofas and carpets were stained, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable—just a thin mattress that didn’t provide any support. We felt dirty the entire time we were there. Thankfully, it was only for one night, and the highlight of our stay was checking out the next morning.
We have been here for 2 months and were very happy with the room furnished, fully kitchen, and the room is clean. the best part is how great the personal is here. they are fantastic directly from check-in. all staff are as friendly for us and make us feel like an extended family! all employees of the extended stay america at 8880 bartrum avenue are absolutely a great advantage for the esa.
