Shan Chuan Chinese - Philadelphia

Shan Chuan is a solid lunch option in this area of East falls, offering both Chinese and Japanese food. I've gotten the sushi and chicken/eggplant special in the past, generally doing take out. The order is always ready when I arrive, and the food is standard and solid for what you'd expect. The fish is fresh, especially for this type of 3 roll special and these days $17 is pretty much one of the better prices you can find these days, and they are made well (ie the sushi/rice doesn't fall apart see pics) Service is friendly, and I've always called in my orders due to the service charge for online orders. Also $15 minimum for credit card fyi Solid neighborhood spot, would recommend this local restaurant for anyone craving Americanized Chinese food and simple sushi cravings.

Fantastic local dive...aesthetically not gorgeous...but the service and food make up for what is lacking in visual appeal...well prepared and not to be confused with run of the mill Asian cuisine...delicious and affordable, I'm not local...but if I were, I'd be a regular

The food was delicious. The cost was very reasonable. We didn't have to wait long for our order. Our only complaint was that the delivery person left it on a very cold front doorstep without knocking, calling, or texting.

This place in the neighborhood is solid for sushi. Staff friendly. I always get take out, so I'm not sure what the dining experience is like but all the rolls are tasty and I also get the vegetable gyoza regularly. Will continue to return as it is close to home. The food also always is ready in a timely manner for us.

Ordered the orange chicken and like several other cheaper Chinese restaurants not sure what part of the chicken they use on the orange chicken if you asked me it's just bread and syrup.
