The meat comes from local farms and it tastes so much better than any meat youget from the grocery store. I don?t like ribs or pork that much, but the ribs and burnt ends were the first thing I finished onthe sampler we ordered. The sides were just as great. We loved the white chili with chicken. We got a chance to chat with theowner who was the nicest man we have ever met. You can tell the family puts so much love into what they do. I didn?t loveGatlinburg but I would drive 10 hours all over again if it meant I could have Preacher?s Smokehouse again.
We have had this on our list for a while and finally was here on one of the days they are open and oh my gosh. This is hands down some of the best bbq I have ever had, price was great, portions are more than plenty, like you will need to take some homeprobably, and the quality is amazing. We did 3 meat combo with brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends with Brunswick stew and Mac ncheese, also added ribs for $5, with chocolate skillet for dessert. Again AMAZING. Will come back as often as possible when inthe pigeon forge area. Read the story behind this place and realize the amazing people behind some of the best bbq.
Hands down some of the best BBQ ive ever had! The meat on the ribs quickly fell off the bone and melted in my mouth! My husband and I split the sampler and it was definitely worth the money! We didn?t finish it all but it makes good for multiple meals! Ihighly recommend you stop by this off the road place and enjoy some good BBQ!
Update from February.... Still absolutely the BEST food Sevierville has to offer! We came up with the kids this time and they ALL said this was by far the best place we have eaten while here! Thanks for always being amazing and providing the besthospitality in the area! From the Mills Family! This by far is the BEST food around! Stay off grid and make sure to take a triphere and eat!!! We got the chance to meet the preacher and learn some stories of the area and get a picture with him. We will beback tomorrow without a doubt! Terrific food and hospitality!
For lunch today we decided to go to a small family owned restaurant off the beaten path called Preachers Smokehouse. Omg this BBQ was one of the best BBQ places I have ever been to. It's owned by a preacher who started cooking to feed the homeless butneeded a kitchen to do it. Now the restaurant helps supports that mission by cooking delicious BBQ to its visitors. It had 4tables on the inside part and I think 3 picnic tables outside. It's only open from Thursday to Saturday from 11 to 7. Out of allthe restaurants we visited this week so far this was my favorite you seriously need to visit here when visiting the smokymountains. Staff is super super friendly and will even sit and talk to you and they have free coffee available. Definitely comevisit here and follow Lititz Dad for more adventures.
