I would certainly recommend to try it!
This traditional Taiwanese vegetarian restaurant serves simple rice and vegetable dishes. My dish was perfectly satisfying, but quite small, so you need at least two per person for a filling, especially if you go to the Pingxi Crags to walk afterwards. The owners were friendly but not interested in helping with what was vegan because it is all vegan (probably including cooked eggs) so it is necessary (for vegans) to choose only vegetable dishes. Definitely stay away from fake meat! It says it's always open, but I think in reality they close when they calm down, which seems at 6PM. There is also a vegetarian restaurant that is only open on weekends at 122 Shifen Street, opposite Shifen Station. It would be great if someone could try it (if it was on a weekend) and add it to Happycow thanks.
