The menu says frozen for most foods, but I have a feeling that this is lost in translation from the word “fresh”. There is definitely no indication that the seafood was frozen when it was, they did a good job, so it tastes great. The staff is great, we were served by what the owner seems to be, and while I can understand some people who find his style rude, we thought it was authentic and real. Other waiting staff were great, the younger speak good English and the older have a great sense of humor. When we asked for some water, the waiter turned around and pointed to the sea. Again I can understand why this can frustrate some tourists, we found the humor excellent and really enjoyed everything about the place. We got free dessert and also a box to take away the food we couldn't eat, what was a lot, like the portions are massive, so be careful, you don't order too much! I would say 4 or 5 side shells are more than enough for 2 people. Overall, this was an excellent evening and I give it 5/5, I would give it 6 if I could.
The owner and the staff were very helpful. Yesterday we visited the restaurant for dinner. The owner was very warm and welcoming, he brought us to the kitchen to check the fresh catch of the day. The food was delicious and lush and surprisingly very cheap!
Not to satisfy! Right seafood, freshly made, good portions, very friends things. Fair prices! Just come here for authentic seafood dishes!
Taking into account quality and cost, this is the best tavern in the area there is a lot around). For this reason it is always overcrowded and you cannot reserve a table. They also have the same good overal service for years. Well done
Best restaurant in Piraeus according to the locals we spoke to, and also according to us as the food was superb! They even gave us free dessert since they wanted us to experience Greek sweets since we are tourists. There's always a line outside this place and there's a reason for it. The portions are huge, the place is deemed the best restaurant by the locals and it has a great location just by the seaside! They have an English menu, despite the fact that the name of the restaurant isn't written in English letters anywhere. Uploading pics of the menu to help you guys. The pre-courses were very nice and on their own were enough to fill is up. The main courses were very nice as well and tasted great together with the pre-courses (we saved some bread, sallad, fried cheese and such to be able to mix it with the main course). I had the fried coz fillets since it felt like that was the only thing I could have from the menu (as I don't eat crayfish nor octopus). The place isn't expensive (unless you order fish by weight) but not inexpensive either. The portions are huge though and the maitre'D knows English so he can help you out with anything (our waiter didnt know much English though).
