Gomes - Ponte Da Barca

The Cheese starter was nice, although they showed Pate on the menu, but wasn't available. My partner had an excellent steak with a fried egg an array of salad, rice and potato scollops. Portion size was big. He also had desert which he could only describe as a kinda of mixed in cheesecake? The menu offered was varied,, it's definitely a place to visit for a meal whilst you are in Ponte de Barca. Don't be put off by the narrow entrance to the actual restaurant.

Just another doorway on a high street a slightly faded sign above the door but the delights inside, a big room full of tables and chairs nicely presented, the menu in Portuguese and English I opted for the Pate the house steak my Girlfriend as she does not eat much opted for the vegetable soup, alas the pate was not available so as a non- Fish eater I had the cheese two little packets of creamy cows cheese followed by a large Steak covered with egg served with rice, flat fries and salad wow the steak was cooked to perfection in fact the meal was so good we visited the restaurant twice during our ten day stay at the tempus Hotel

The food was average but then again can't complain as it was very cheap. Not the place to go for a culinary experience though, more for a quick, mid-week lunch.

Muito bem temperada e saborosa comida caseira. a dose individual para 2 pessoas comendo pouco é suficiente. serviço muito simpático e atencioso.

Quando menos esperamos, surge uma boa surpresa! véu grelhado magnífico! Há muito tempo que não comi essa boa carne.
