My wife recommends #27, my youngest son always goes with #18. I say the Pho New Saigon with a tendon, brisket and beef is the best. For my children who do not like soup the rice dishes are above all I recommend the basil fried rice with tofu. Ah and Vietnamese coffee is done right. The family who own the restaurant are charming and friendly especially the young son Stephen, whom our children like to entertain when they were young.
We visited Pho New Saigon during lunch. The exterior is nothing to see, but how many holes in the wall it saves the best for the important things. The interior is small, but clean and airy, with many windows. It has four tables and eight stands, including a large corner cabin. We had the Bun Saigon, spring rolls, Vietnamese milk tea and Vietnamese milk coffee. The spring rolls were beautiful and narrow with several large shrimps clearly visible, with one side peanut sauce for diving. They were fresh and light, and without onions or Zilantro, which I personally hate. They would probably add them if desired. The Bun Saigon meat beef, chicken and shrimp were beautifully spiced and tender. The vegetables were fresh and crispy, and the sauce was light, sweet and just a little sharp. The tea should die, and my husband also enjoyed the coffee. Service was good, but not spectacular. Our waitress had trouble with English, and another person (the owner?) to help. They were polite and as soon as possible with the number of people who came to lunch. They had also taken out what I had before, and was completely identical to the Sit-Down version I had today.
Pho Chay. Vegetarian noodle soup 04 Apr, 2015 Delicious!. Absolutely a treasure! I was surprised to find such a good photo in Port Angeles. Very fresh and tasty, with friendly service. You don't bring the check, just go to the register when you're done. I eat here a few times a month and never had a bad experience.
Enjoy our meals. Service was quick friendly. This device is not licensed.
Pho New Saigon. We were so happy to discover this little gem in Port Angeles during spring break. Being half Vietnamese and having a mom who is an excellent cook, I have a pretty good idea of what authentic Vietnamese food should taste like. For lunch we had salad rolls (cha lua, shrimp, rice noodles, lettuce, rice paper, peanut sauce), pho (beef, rice noodles, beef broth flavored, bean sprouts, basil, onions), stir fried noodles with shrimp and tofu (egg noodles, fried tofu, shrimp, bean sprouts, scallions, onions, and garlic in a black bean garlic and oyster sauce), an avocado shake (avocados and sweetened condensed milk, blended with ice) and a coconut bubble tea (tea blended with ice and tapioca pearls). The flavors were exactly how they should taste. Pho can vary in flavor depending on who is making it and the type of ingredients. The broth is the key to a successful pho and this restaurant has perfected it! Fresh ingredients, flavorful dishes, good prices, and friendly service. Definitely a place to try...I rate it 9/10. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
