I ordered Massaman Curry and asked to be a little spicy. Also the Tofu Satay and egg rolls. The curry was only spices not a Massaman taste at all. Not good. The egg rolls and Tofu Satay were good. The peanut sauce was delicious! No din in just execution. Thanks Covid.
We called in our order as they are still not open for dine-in, which is totally fine by me. When we called and began ordering we forgot to mention we were vegan at the beginning. Once we mentioned not having egg, fish sauce, oyster sauce, etc. the woman answering the phone asked if we were vegan and was kind enough to inform us their pad thai is not vegan because it contains a little bit of condensed milk, so she recommended the pad see ew instead. We also tried the spring rolls, Basil Lovers stir fry, and Emperor Cashew. They have either seasonal vegetables, fresh tofu, or fried tofu as a protein option for all their menu items. Absolutely delicious and we were thankful she warned us beforehand. Also the guy who was running out orders was friendly and a pleasure to chat with. This place was also recommended by our AirBnB host and we can see why.
This is a quite busy Thai place in what appears to be the wealthy part of Port Angeles. Reservation strongly suggested, or you might catch a seat at the bar or wait until a table is free keep in mind they close very early. The menu is very much aimed at the fish and meat consuming audience but the staff is responsive to special dietary needs and often one can choose tofu or veggies instead of animals . When I told them I don't consume fish, seafood or meat they immediately said they'd make a note to not use fish sauce in my dish and also made sure I knew which chili paste was fine. Since there's no actual vegetarian place in town or even nearby it's a good option, and the food is pretty good.
I didn't expect to find fabulous Thai cuisine in Port Angeles. I think this is better than Seattle Thai restaurants. The vegetables were so fresh, and the food was delicious. Ask for coconut milk in the Thai iced tea. Yum!
