I highly recommend the excellent Szechuan cuisine at TIMBERMAN CHINESE RESTAURANT. If you are searching for a variety of high-quality Szechuan dishes, this is the place to go. Every dish here is delicious. The good quality, generous portions, and reasonable prices will keep you coming back for more.
I accidentally parked in front of this restaurant without realizing it was there, but the pictures on the window caught my eye. I decided to go inside and grab a take-out menu, and I'm so glad I did! We ordered delivery for a group of people and were impressed with the variety of spicy options on the menu. However, none of the dishes we ordered were overly spicy. Our favorites included the pineapple seafood fried rice, ginger beef, spicy salted spareribs, sweet and sour chicken, Sichuan string beans, chicken stir-fried noodles, and pot stickers. The delivery was prompt (likely due to our proximity to the restaurant) and the food arrived hot, fresh, and in generous portions - we had plenty left over! Overall, everything was delicious and we will definitely be ordering from here again in the future.
We wanted to try this place as its in our hood. Ordered take out, Singaporean laksa was way too fish sauce-y, and had a serious spice kick. We didn't enjoy this dish. We also ordered the ginger beef (just ok, not as spicy as we...would have liked it), Kung pao chicken (no real flavour), seasonal vegetables (ok), and mah poh tofu (ok). We found that most foods didn't have any distinctive flavour, and no spice (except the soup). Sorry, but this visit was a bust, and we'll not likely return.
A friend recommended this hidden gem to us, so we decided to give it a try. Tucked away in a small L-shaped mall, the restaurant is nestled in a corner, making it a bit difficult to spot amongst the other stores. Once inside, we found a spacious and well-lit dining area with plenty of tables. While the atmosphere wasn't anything special, the server was friendly and attentive, and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be returning to sample more items from their menu. I highly recommend trying the beef roll and the Singapore Laksa – just be prepared for a bit of heat with the Laksa, although you can request it to be made milder. Happy eating!
