Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI think we've been coming with a lot of parking under the Sandy for at least ten years. The employees are as always very polite and help as they can. The offer is delicious and plentiful. In my case, the chicken parmigiana was a bit over boiled and the salad was a little sparing, but all other meals were pretty good. The iPad area is a good idea, occupied with children. This is a good option for large groups. COVID wisely spaced apart, which is also good.
I visited this restaurant for the second time because I really enjoy the food. However, today I waited 5 minutes for someone to bring me the bill at my table. When no one came, I went to the bar to pay. After waiting for 7 minutes with no service, I decided to leave. Unfortunately, when I got home, I received a call stating that if I didn't pay $73, they would report me to the police. Despite the good food, the poor customer service from the staff that night was disappointing.
We went with a group of 15 to the restaurant. The dining experience was wonderful and our waitress Angelina was nice, explaining how to order using the QR code app. However, there were delays in the system, leading to 4 meals being delayed and causing 4 people to eat an hour apart. The Sandy Hotel should address the issues in their system.
This review is for the Grill House Restaurant located at Sandy Hotel in Sandringham Backview. This is the fourth time I have visited this restaurant in the last four years, with previous visits in November 2016, January 2018, and January 2019. The Grill House is one of the few restaurants in the area that my friends and I have frequented due to its convenient location near Port Phillip Bay, diverse menu options, quality service, and reasonable prices. This restaurant has become our go-to spot for local dining. During my most recent visit on a Saturday evening, my friends and I were eager to catch up and enjoy a sense of normalcy amidst the ongoing pandemic. Although the restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived, it gradually filled up with around 80 people by the middle of the evening, adhering to current restrictions. The diverse crowd included families, young groups, and couples of all ages. Unlike my previous visits, the restaurant now offers full table service for ordering drinks and meals, as well as payment. The menu features over 30 meal options categorised into sections like "Street Foods", "Clean Green", "From the Grill", and "Faves". Additionally, there are selections for children, seniors, and desserts. During our visit, we enjoyed dishes like pumpkin coconut curry, sirloin steak, and grilled fish and chips, accompanied by sparkling water. The total bill for the four of us came to $76.50, with beverages accounting for $21.40. The restaurant is situated on a slope, allowing guests to park directly underneath and access the outdoor seating area via stairs. This time, we opted to park at a public lot on Beach Road for a short stroll along the cliff overlooking the bay post-meal. The area also offers cliff-top gardens, a children's playground, and a traditional bandstand. For those seeking solitude, there is a paved walkway leading to the beach where you can escape the hustle and bustle of Beach Road. Overall, the Grill House Restaurant at Sandy Hotel continues to impress with its delicious food, scenic views, and welcoming atmosphere. - Peter Steele, March 7, 2021.
