I stayed at the Brix back in April, had decent food! Now that other half has arrived in country, we divided to go back to the Brix on date night, based on my past experience staying there! Went to the Exchange. Ordered Salmon with bernaise sauce. The sauce was more a sweeten mayo out of a squeeze bottle! No tarragon or other spices, one would assume would be in a classic bernaise! The sauce was inedible! Ordered the truffle butter as a replacement, no truffle butter, server arrived with garlic butter, which was a far better than the Bernaise. For the price they are charging, the chef should be able to provide a bernaise, that is on the menu. The salmon was OK over all, the steak was a decent size, and cooked to medium as ordered! Overall was a little underwhelming for the cost! Probably won’t be back, unless it’s on business again.
The menu for dinner can do with a bit more variety.
