Being from the New Orleans area, I usually have to drive all the way to New Orleans in order to get chocolate donuts. Well not anymore, Southern Maid has chocolate donuts, but, only on weekends. That's probably a good thing because I'd eat them every dayif they had them every day! They even have chocolate covered chocolate donuts!! And yes, I get the chocolate donuts everyweekend!

I had never heard of this fantastic joint but I was having a very Unpleasant morning and decided to do some order deliveries to help my mind calm down and I Am not sure who he Is that works there But it Smelled like Heaven When I entered And thatnice fellow made my day HE Gave ME n warm delicious donut And.WOW I will be back and Thanks For making my day it's smallthoughtful gestures that we have gotten so far away from And we seem to Be such Greedy and rUde people these days it was justnice to see a freindly Smile and a pure warm Welcome I give yall a 100 Not many people Places make You feel Welcome? Our family loves this local business! We've been coming here for years and will miss them greatly now that we're moving away. Ken and his crew are a pleasure to see in the morning. Thank you guys for your delicious treats and wonderful company.

I'm driving a way for it. Ken, the owner, is amazing. The staff is always polite and helpful! I give 2 other donut places to drive to South Maid... they melt in your mouth and have only one taste like no other. I'm glad they're so far away or I'm in a diabetic coma and huge....
