Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónZorbas Taverna may not be the most visually appealing restaurant (renovations require a significant amount of money,) however, the food (especially the calamari) and portions exceeded my expectations.
The sales person took our order, said it would be delivered, nobody showed. No answer when we tried to call back. Although we will go hungry, it's probably for the best - never been treated so poorly by a business in my life.
Anton is a wonderful fellow and the food fantastic, best meal in Rupert. The chicken souvlaki was fantastic, and I'm a major souvlaki fan.
Not as special as I hoped but not disappointing. The menu is eclectic, leaving me to wonder whether Greek food is really still the specialty. We still went ahead and ordered from the Greek options and they were good. I wasn't blown away but each plate was a reasonable meal and the salad, potatoes, rice etc as expected. We had calamari for an appetiser and it was somewhat tough but the batter was nice and flavourful - I think it worked better on the deep fried zucchini sticks though. Not a bad place to eat. Service was quick and sincere and food was fresh and hot.
It was open so I decided to take a chance. I ordered Greek Pork ribs. They arrived after some time and at least they were hot. The sides were rice and potato and Greek salad. The salad had 1 olive in it, but the rice and potato were good. The ribs were the boiled then baked type with a dry rub. They were very over done and did not give a great mouth feel.I would go back to try their souvlaki, which I think would be better.
