Had dinner with some friends. Filet tip special was amazing, others had duck, seafood, and pasta dish, all were wonderful. Had a great time and service was exceptional. I was taken here for my Birthday by my 2 Sisters. It was extremely disappointing to be asked to leave, as we were finishing our meal.. The Server said we had to leave. We were unaware that there is a time limitation? There were 6 open tables and not many people waiting in line. To be asked to leave is extremely RUDE!!! When we went to our car, other Diners also stated that they were asked to leave as well! We will never go back or recommend that anyone dine there. Their rudeness leaves a bad taste in your mouth! My Sister contacted the Manager. He stated that we should have known there was a time limit? He was rude and abrupt as well. I have eaten there before and was not informed about a time limit. I recently had a very disappointing experience at this resturaunt. The owner was rude and exceedingly unprofessional. His staff also provided lackluster service. It's very clear that the owner is struggling to provide an authentic high-end dinning experience due to lack of seating capacity within the resturaunt. Unfortunately, I doubt this location will survive if the owner doesn't take it upon himself to improve things. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I might be biased because I live nearby, but I think this is one of the best Italian restaurants south of the river. I've been here several times for birthdays and anniversaries. Food has been top notch every time I've been here, flavorful, fresh and really tasty. The gnocchi I had was to die for. The server was very friendly and helpful. It's a quaint and relaxed atmosphere with a nice view of Lakefront Park out the north facing windows. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I think they could update thier reservation system. It's a small restaurant that fills up fast so it's best to have a reservation but the only way you can make one is by calling them during business hours like it's 1995. Other than that minor inconvenience, this place is top notch.
