The manager, John, then ordered security to escort him out of the establishment. It was shocking to witness such unprofessional behavior, especially when the young man was treated roughly by the staff. Afterward, we checked on the customer to make sure he was alright, and he informed us that he had been told he could return to the restaurant. However, when he attempted to pay for his tab outside, security seemed to pester him further. When we returned to the host stand to get a table, we were informed by the security that John had decided not to serve us. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs—it's completely unprofessional! It's puzzling to see why they have a 24/7 operation yet can’t seem to manage their staffing properly.
We arrived at 1 a.m. because it was one of the few places nearby that was still open and serving food. Upon our arrival, we noticed a bit of a backlog, and there was no one at the host stand. However, we weren’t in a rush, so we decided to wait. After about 10 minutes, a server appeared, looking a bit stressed, and mentioned that he was really busy. It didn’t seem like the restaurant was bustling at that hour! Nonetheless, we assured him that we were happy to wait and that he could take his time with us. He took our names down, and each time he interacted with us, I didn’t feel rushed at all. He was attentive and even offered some great recommendations for our breakfast orders. Even though he was the sole server handling the entire restaurant, I felt that the service was impressive given the situation. Overall, it was a delightful experience with a hearty breakfast.
The breakfast was fantastic, but I have to mention that the coffee was disappointing. Just my two cents!
Whenever he interacted with us, it felt like he was genuinely focused on providing good service despite being overwhelmed. He thoughtfully offered recommendations for our breakfast orders. Although he was the only server handling the entire restaurant, I was impressed by how well he managed the situation. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a solid breakfast.
This IHOP states that it's open 24 hrs. I went with a party of 6 around 10pm to eat. There was approximately 2 tables in the whole place occupied and the server came to us and told us that she would sit us in a minute. She then proceeded to go sit at a table close to the kitchen and ignored us standing by the host desk for 5 minutes. Another employee eventually approached us and went to check with that same waitress where to sit us. After talking with her he came back and told us that there was an hour wait. An hour wait and absolutely no one was in the place. When leaving we saw that waitress and other employees outside talking and listening to music by the side door. Don't say that you're open 24 hrs if you're not willing to let people eat after 9 pm. Very disappointed how we were treated by the rude wait staff!
