Quite a hidden gem in Quezon City. I would selfishly keep it that way. Great service, very good coffee, and nice food choices too.
SGD Coffee is a cozy coffee shop in Maalalahanin St. (Teachers Village) that serves fine coffee and affordable Filipino meals. Their location is a quiet residential area so it's a great place for a solo time, catching up with friends, and/or working/studying. You can be assured that you're getting high-quality coffee here because they recently won in the 3rd International Contest of Coffees Roasted in their Country of Origin held in Paris. If you are extra passionate about coffee, you can also enroll in their Coffee Workshop.
Awesome place to hang out with friends. I felt the passion they pour in every cup of coffee they serve. The yoghurt is also a must try! Nice interiors too.
The place is a welcome respite from the chaos of Quezon City. It transports you to a totally different and unfamiliar place, yet makes you feel right at home. Once the food and coffee is served, everything else feels like the warmth and rich traditions of the great Northern Cordillera people. It's all about heritage and Filipino pride for our indigenous farmers truly a cafe that tugs at your heart. The Bodega definitely feels like family.
