We came here on the recommendation of our air b and b owner Sandra. This is a minute walk in a beautiful neighborhood. Our waiter helped us with the menu, all in German. But with his help, and Google translate, we had a spectacular...night. Warm, dark wood decor with candles, comfortable seating and nice music for ambiance. The menu had fresh ingredients, seasonal specials we came during white asparagus season, do not miss this delicacy in all its incarnations- but had traditional German dishes I have cooked at home...sauerbraten, rouladen. I am ashamed of my versions!! We had beef tongue so delicate it resembled corned beef. The potato dumplings are pillows of lightness and flavor to be used to sop up the gravy of the sauerbraten and rouladen. The rec cabbage was beautifully cooked...firm and not overdone and not doused in vinegar. We had the local riesling....not be missed....dry, wonderful crisp finish. We all marvelled that this was one of the finest meals we have ever had worldwide.
