From that point on, everything was fantastic. The service was the best I’ve ever had — our server was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. We enjoyed a variety of drinks, including the spicy Rancho margarita, flower child, and barrel-aged Manhattan, all of which were delicious. Our appetizers — the bell pepper and goat cheese flatbread, crispy Brussels sprouts, and fried calamari steak — were also wonderful! Our salads and entrees — antipasto salad, Belgian endive and Asian pear salad, filet mignon, fresh sea bass, chicken Alfredo (without the chicken), and the soup of the day — did not disappoint either. The restaurant was very accommodating to vegetarian diets and was willing to modify certain dishes to meet those needs. Since we were celebrating two milestone birthdays, they kindly brought out complimentary desserts with candles, in addition to what we had ordered. The crème brûlée, bread pudding, carrot cake, and brownies were all incredibly tasty. Overall, it was a delightful evening! This restaurant is a fantastic find, and we will definitely be back.

Excellent dinner experience! They have a beautifully equipped, small patio to feel the night breeze. Lamb and scallop dishes were amazing as well as service. Even though we dined literary 5 mins before closing time, they took care of us wonderfully.Highly recommended.

Looking for an upscale date night destination? Well Nick G’s is worthy of your consideration. The food was good, as was the ambiance and service. @nickandgs typically offers live music on Saturday nights, so plan accordingly if that appeals toyou. Our Review Team had only positives to share about their “Meatballs di Formaggio”appetizer, “Grilled ChickenAlfredo” and “Summer Vegetable Risotto” entrees, and “Profiteroles” and “Butterscotch Bread Pudding” desserts. While our meals weren’t inexpensive, our final bill was less than expected. Although this portion of Rancho Santa Fe is quiteconducive to strolling with your someone special, keep in mind that RSF tends to roll up their sidewalks pretty early so factorthat into your plans. My most recent visit was particularly disappointing. I ordered the catch of the day, which was not only overly fishy but also nearly inedible. To make matters worse, I discovered a large piece of plastic in my dish. It's disheartening to say that you can find better fine dining options at many budget-friendly fast casual restaurant chains. Overall, it feels like the team at Nick and G's lacks genuine concern for the dining experience or their customers. I recommend spending your money elsewhere for a much better experience.

The best steak I've ever had in San Diego! Technically, it's in Rancho Santa Fe, but it truly deserves a five-star rating! I highly recommend this family-owned establishment. I also want to mention the calamari—it was excellently prepared! Honestly, this restaurant should definitely be Michelin rated! I will definitely be a long-time customer! Take a look at my meal!
