Alfonso's Mexican Food - Raton

I'm so happy I stopped here! it can be difficult to find delicious vegan options right in front of the carbahn, but this place has just fed me properly. her veggie burrito is delicious, balanced, generously portioned and beautifully packed. (seriously, this was the closest, symmetric and most convenient burrito to keep I ever had lol. and also a tasty salsa! if they are vegan or veg, do not hesitate to come here.

Excellent Mexican cuisine! family owned. the prices are appropriate to pick up the carne asada supreme burrito. hot sauce is excellent. only the correct amount of heat, but keeps great taste. they will not be disappointed!

Great service. Great food. We had a large group and had a little wait time which was to be expected. Once we were seated our waitress took great care of everyone and brought us the correct orders of great food.

I highly recommend the shrimp fajita burrito. It's packed with fresh veggies delicious meat and lots of yummy goodness. It's plenty juicy so make sure you get enough napkins. If you like shrimp, you'll enjoy this.

If you like Mexican food, Pull over. Don 't second guess it. I order the California Burrito and trust me, this is no ordinary size burrito it 's a big boy!! Not only was it a good size burrito but the meat was moist and cooked just right. This was an authentic Mexican burrito. Long story short, if I lived in Raton, NM, I would be a regular there. If you live there or are just passing through, this is a must when it comes to Mexican food. I can tell they take pride in their food here and I can 't wait for my next trip back to Raton, NM to have a bite!
