The Chequers Inn - Redbourn

Really disappointed, come along to this pub often, and always been great. Booked a table for 4.30pn, arrived at 4.20pm, wasn't busy, was shown to a table out of the way, ordered drinks quite quickly, waitress we had was obviously finishing, as I said to her knew what we wants, she dismissed this and walked off!!! 20 mins later another waitress came over, felt sorry for her, as told us they had run out of roasts!!! No idea why original waitress didn't tell us, as we would have gone elsewhere! We waited 45 mins for our food, not a good visit

Lovely little pub just off the roundabout by the MOT centre. Great staff, great food! Lovely atmosphere! Definitely will be going again! Highly recommend the Trio of Roasts and pigs in blankets! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

For me this was perfect. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was plentiful and promptly served. Can't fault it. And the chocolate brownie dessert was the best I've had in a long time! 5 stars Atmosphere was perfect for me as it was quiet and low key. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
