Our waiter was pleasant and tried his best but he was the only waiter for the whole car and was struggling to keep up. Our 2 hours was barely enough. It was understaffed, we felt bad for the waiter! Food was good and reasonably priced. That poor waiter deserves a bonus!
Visited the rail car for dinner, recently remodeled and somewhat less noisy, overall a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant was full so service was a bit slow, the food was good and priced very reasonably. Overall not bad if you wish to have decent food at a decent price .
We decided to book a reservation at the Last Spike before going to the Casino Show Lounge. The staff were nice and courteous. Dining experience took a long time to get our meals, meals were okay, staff were very busy which resulted in service being slow.
It wasn’t my choice. The only positive about this breakfast was the coffee thermos on the table. Everything else was sub par: limited menu slow service, forget about waving to get any attention they just ignore you ordered apple juice got a bottle. Asked to a glass oh you need a glass, want a straw too greasy cheese omelette lousy hash browns, buried under a pile of cool hash browns was a single green onion cold toast and virtually impossible to get peanut butter only pleasant interaction with the server was when it was time to pay, because it is tip time
I had the soup and sandwich special. The soup was borscht and it was very good. Great flavours, I would get that again. The crispy chicken sandwich was terrible. It was overly greasy and lacked flavour.
