El Vaquero - Richwood

The staff was very kind and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. There was no atmosphere of a Mexican Restaurant at all besides Mexican music playing but for me I don't eat at restaurants for the atmosphere or the music. The food was okay and was definitely lacking flavor. I had the mini tacos and there was a poor amount of meat on them and the corn tortillas were surely store bought. I couldn't believe they were doubled with the lack of toppings they had on them. The salsa was also very disappointing in my opinion, it had a sweetness to it that wasn't very pleasing to me or something I look for when eating chips and salsa. It almost had a hint of ketchup to it. And the charro beans were ok but very bland they only had beans and the Mexican sausage that tastes to me exactly like hot dogs which I'm not a fan of. I think this restaurant has potential but it won't last long if there game isn't stepped up. They need to take notes from some badass restaurants like La Casona or Gringos.

Had the taco special it was ok the food needed more flavor the atmosphere did not feel like you where in a Mexican restaurant which was different the restaurant was very very clean and the staff was friendly don't know if I would be back with all the other Mexican restaurant choices in the area.

Friendly faces, fast service and good food! doesn’t get better than that, they also have $1 street tacos monday wednesday and friday! they are delish... try the green salsa, you won’t regret it.

Good authentic Mexican food. Had the beef enchiladas with green sauce and they were good. The beef could have been a little more seasoned, but the green sauce was very good.
