We had a wonderful meal with the best fresh tuna steak I can remember. Great service, excellent wine and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The staff seemed to have no clue at all even though the place wasn't full. One waiter was more concerned about his girlfriends than with the guests. Really not worth your money!!!
We went here for dinner as a family. Our appetizer came with our first courses, and the second course took an hour to get there. And while the pizza was ok, the steak was less than satisfying. The staff seemed preoccupied with the friends they had hanging in the joint. A complete lack of organization characterized this service. There are so many other options in Rimini choose one of them!
We ate at this restaurant twice during our stay as we enjoyed it so much on our first visit. It is not fine dining, it is not expensive menus, it is not a formal restaurant with a sense of reverence and calm. It is a great local restaurant cooking local dishes, where the locals outnumber the tourists and served as you would expect from a local cafe. Staff were very warm and welcoming, food was authentic and tasty and the prices were comparatively low. We enjoyed the food which was good quality pasta, risotto, pizza fish etc and the house wine was excellent value and drinkable. The restaurant was busy but service was prompt and everything was freshly cooked so it wasn't put on your plate within minutes of walking in. We didn't feel rushed or encouraged to leave. I know that people's tastes and expectations vary, but this suited us very well good quality local food at a reasonable price, served by staff who enjoy their job, in an environment where more lots of locals eat, and where food is freshly cooked.
A friend of mine recommend this place highly, so I decided to have lunch with some friends at the Cafe' di Chat Noir (Il Gatto Nero in Rimini. The food they serve is average, the waiting time was unbearable (over 1 hour for some Tagliatelle al Ragù even though other tables arrived after us and left before us..we arrived at 1.30 p.m. abd left at 4 p.m. The Management did not even try to apologise or offer anything to compensate the bad experience, they actually raised their voice at us when we complained to them. It was the worst experience in a restaurant in Italy I had for many years. Don't make the same mistake as we did.
