Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónMy boyfriend and I have been looking for new local places to try in town. He is a much picker eater than me, but he enjoyed the chicken teriyaki. The texture of the chicken was not bad to him or very fatty. (He is very picky about meat) He ate his whole plate! I had a spicy California maki roll as a safe choice and it was absolutely delicious. It was a good size with 8 pieces. It came with imitation crab, which I expected being so far from the ocean, but it was still so delicious. The presentation of the plates was very nice. We had great service and the atmosphere was quite nice. Everything was very clean and presentable. Only slight problem was the bathrooms had a stinky smell. Otherwise, I very much recommend!
I came in because it seemed quiet. Soup and salad was good. Soda was brought out I'm a can (so much for free refills). I was thinking of getting some Sushi/sashimi but I'm still rather new to it all so didn't know what to order and didn't want to order too much and not be able to bring it home for leftovers. I ordered Teriyaki chicken instead. What came out looked as boring as something made from a school cafeteria. The taste wasn't too far off either, just extremely bland and not a lot of food for paying $23 for myself. I ate what little I could, and asked for a box. I don't know why I bothered as it was no more appetizing the day after, took a few bites and threw it away feeling like I wasted $20. If I want Asian when I'm downtown again, I'll probably just go to Wok N Roll. Amazing food and more of it, for less money.
I love little hole in the wall places like this, and I love supporting local businesses, but I don't think Wasabi's is what I wanted honestly. It's definitely WORTH your money. I had 6 pieces of sushi for just under 10 bucks, and then went ahead and bought a spring roll too but the teriyaki chicken and shrimp were both really bland. The lunch specials appear to have more than 6 pieces, so I'd probably recommend checking them out because the sushi was good.
Food and service were spectacular. It did seem on the pricier side for the portions we received, though. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for kids and what looks like a space to keep strollers.
The baby tako salad never disappoints. The fish on top of my spicy rainbow maki. I'm not saying paper thin but it was a good 1/4 inch thick. It was still tasty.
