Loved all the dishes I ordered today. I have periodic cravings for Lemon Chicken and I found that most places do an ok job. But, I was so pleasantly surprised that Joy House made it the way I love...lightly tempurad on thinly cut chicken breast I believe) with lemon sauce on the side so I can dip. I also love the tomato beef chow mein. I love that I can sub protein chicken) since Im allergic to beef. They put both beef and chicken instead, but I just removed the beef. Next time, Ill need to make a more specific note. Such great flavor! And of course I had to order sesame balls. My all time fav!
I enjoyed the first time. they were busy, but the service was good and friendly. I had a mocha and a bake. both were beautifully crafted and as good as they looked? there are decent seating opportunities in the interior, but we enjoyed an exterior
Nice coffee. Cafe has the ambience of a library. Just a shade too quiet for me, but much much better than coffee places where you are sitting with your coffee among the sounds of a commercial kitchen! Lots of places to sit and read or sit and work. Modest food selection at best... Coffee is their thing.
I had crepe with fresh strawberries inside, having nutella inside and on top, along with a generous coating of delicious powdered sugar. the whole thing is warm and perfect in every conceivable way. the hot chocolate was divine as well. sitting at a perfect lukewarm temperature, having a fresh layer of whole milk foam and powdered chocolate on top of the creamy deliciousness handmade by a very friendly lady. the atmosphere of the whole place fits my tastes perfectly. this is an amazing place to study or just chill. i have still yet to find a better cafe for studying.
