The Original Mels Diner - Rocklin

My salad was surprisingly good! All the others said their meals (burgers for the children, and turkey plate for the man) were okay (the girls like their food, actually), but it was a little more pricier than we would say it was worth it.

The first time here was great, the second time here (8p on Wednesday) was not. So shocked to have such a different experience. -Cream redden, couldn't drink the coffee, got a new cup, but the same problem, never got it solid cause that no refills existed or checked back. Male Server has disappeared. Nobody told us anything, but we stopped being served. She fell out of our food (with attitude when I pointed to my daughter was wrong) then never came back. Egg cunning lukewarm, which is so rough, I prefer hot food! - When I asked the female server to remove 1 coffee from my bill, she did not ask why, I did not ask how our meal was, I asked nothing. I don't care. Pays $60 for our mediocre meal and apathetic? Service.? Revolver's coming.

Not sure if this is the original with Alice, Flo, etc., but most likely NO! A little overestimated. The food was decent. Could use some more breakfast options except potatoes.

We usually have no problems with Mel's, but today we have all kinds of problems. The meat in my patty melt was boiled as raw and cold. The same for my daughter's Cheeseburger. The chesseburger had what looked like a whole salad wedge on it. While the fries of my granddaughter were overseasonal, our very low seasonally and hardly warm. The restaurant was not crowded, so it's not like the kitchen was behind it. The staff was great. Quickly missed, drinks delivered relatively quickly, and orders within minutes of sitting. Very disappointed.

The food was good. The service was very good. All the workers seemed to be working hard and working fast. There is a jukebox and every table and you can pay to have your favorite songs played throughout the restaurant. But the music was a little too quiet. Also kids food comes in a cardboard old time car.
