El Zarape Mexican - Rome

Just had lunch. Excellent food at a great price. I had the Bistec a la Mexicana. A very good value. Frosty mug of Negra Modelo. My first frosty mug in Rome. Ask for the spicy tomatillo salsa. It has more heat than the regular salsa which is also very good. The food did have authentic flavor which is hard to find. Lily, my server was very attentive and helpful. I will be back with my family.

The food was excellent! The cheese dip had a fantastic consistency, and the salsa was just right. The rice and beans were delicious, and the chimichangas were quite tasty as well. I have no complaints at all. As someone who just moved to the area and stayed at a nearby hotel, I decided to give this place a try, and I'll definitely be coming back!

The waitstaff was friendly and wore masks. Our food was served quickly. We ordered the 'lunch size' fajitas, and there was more than enough. We also tried the Pollo Tropical, which tasted fresh, and the chicken had a delightful flavor.

I tried the wings, and they were incredible! A quick suggestion: how about introducing a spicy wing challenge? I’m confident I could conquer it!
