Located in the heart of the charming market town of Ross on Wye, the Kings Head Bar Hotel is a historic inn dating back to the 14th century. The hotel is full of traditional charm, with low oak beamed ceilings, stone floors, and open log fires creating a cozy atmosphere. Rumored to have a secret tunnel and ghostly residents, the hotel offers quirky and clean rooms with modern amenities such as tea/coffee facilities and flat screen TVs in superior rooms. The bar is popular with locals and offers a selection of beers and wines. The food at the hotel is top-notch, with a friendly staff and an excellent menu. Despite being a 2-star hotel, the Kings Head Bar Hotel offers 5-star service and is great value for money. We will definitely be returning.

We recently stayed at this hotel for the second time and had an amazing experience. Unfortunately, I was unable to leave a review on Tripadvisor, so I am writing one here on the restaurant site. We returned because our first stay was so wonderful and we were not disappointed. Room number 8 was quirky and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were fantastic. The staff made us feel like family and were extremely accommodating. The hotel is also dog-friendly, making it even more perfect for us. We are already planning our next visit and can't wait to return.

This hotel is absolutely delightful, located right in the center of town. It has been beautifully renovated from an old coaching inn to the utmost quality. The staircase is truly impressive. My bedroom was lovely, clean, and had some thoughtful details. The breakfast was excellent, featuring all locally sourced ingredients.

During my stay at the hotel, I made reservations for a dinner with friends at the restaurant. The food was superb and everyone in our group enjoyed it. The service was also exceptional with attentive staff. I ordered the lamb, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. We all had a great dining experience and would definitely return next time we are in the area.
