Had the absolutely best experience here. eating is incredible as well as the service. they even have cover if it gets colder in the evening! would definitely recommend!

There are two essential criteria that any restaurant should provide, excellent food and good service. This restaurant failed to deliver both. We were a large party and although we had confirmed, they did not have a table ready for us, this was eventually resolved. In...receiving the menus we then discovered that our fixed price menu did not include a dessert (normal practice in most parts of this area of France) we explained that it did not state that on the website the reaction by the Manager of the restaurant was the worst I have ever seen. We were informed that was the way it is and how could they make money (not our problem) by providing a dessert as well in the price. We attempted to find a way out of the impasse and suggested to the Manager perhaps a small scoop of ice cream might suffice. This compromise solution was greeted with yet another lecture. We accepted the situation but what came next was a very disappointing lunch. The starter of soup was adequate, it was followed by a sharing platter of small dishes including one with bits of chicken in a split sauce, salad and other uninteresting small dishes that would not have been accepted as quality tapas, but this was the only offer as the main plate. So, if you like your restaurant with food which at best you could call okay with service providing a commentary on what the financial position of their restaurant aligned to their offering this is the one for you!

I lunched here recently with friends had seen it often from the road and was interested to give it a try. Checked the website beforehand and it said lunch cost 22.50€ which is quite expensive for the area assumed that covered the normal...entrée/plat/dessert. Arrived to discover that all we 'd get for that was a small bowl of soup, a 'sharing platter ' and a dish of the day (which in fact arrived as part of the sharing platter, along with a separate dish of salad). No dessert, though they have now added this fact to the webpage together with a description of their lunch offer as 'lunch tasting ' which just about sums it up as it 's certainly not a proper lunch. The food was perfectly pleasant but very overpriced for what it was, and no pichet wines, which obviously do not fit in with the 'barn chic ' ethos the owner is obviously trying to promote. A more generous lunch offer and a little less concentration on the barn chic wouldn 't go amiss people were obviously voting with their feet as there were very few people lunching.

We went to my wife's birthday. a rather unfriendly greeting of the owner who took our order and forgot to ask if we wanted to weep (we got it). eating is ok, although the owner advised, they can get frying for kartoffels overpriced for average pub. Standard food. I would recommend the la dolce vita in villereal that we have eaten there in the past week and that eating was much better.

Lunched here with 9 friends- pre booked the table. Arrived to find they had not made up a table. Got this sorted, then were shocked to be told no dessert included in the 22.5 Euro price. Pointed out , politely that the web site said... menu for 22.5, and in France this means starter, main and dessert . We asked if at least an icecream could be given as a gesture of good will as there had been a genuine misunderstanding- only to be very rudely accused of threatening behaviour we were a group of over 60 's ladies! and that she had to make a profit. . The owner/manager told us to leave if we were unhappy , but the quality of the food would make up for the lack of dessert. Sadly not the case- warm beetroot soup with inedible tooth breaking croutons , 2 pieces of overcooked chicken and 2 prawns each , aubergine some salad and bread was the total meal. We left hungry and very annoyed. The web site has now been updated to show dessert as an extra although only in the text so our suffering was not in vain. In short, terrible attitude to customers and very bad cooking and value. Nice scenery though.
