Sous Les Freddy

Passing in July 2023, for a evening meal and descent in the alpages at night with a sublime view of the Mont Blanc massif. Always a pleasure to be restored in this unique place in Saint-Gervais-Mont-Blanc.

Simple but great. Lovely toast (croque monsiour and waffles). Had soft drinks and beers. Great place for lunch.

What a find! We went in to shelter from poor conditions not expecting anything from the inauspicious exterior. We were blown away by the beautiful interior, something how I would like to imagine 'Santa 's Grotto ' would look. Things got even better once we ordered food a simple platter of cured meat, fried potatoes, salad, pickles and bread followed by local cheeses. One of our best ever ski lunches.

Stumbled upon this place second day and thought it was so good, went back for the rest of our trip for lunch. Le freddy gave us great “basic “ food and drink at probably the cheapest price I’ve ever paid whilst on the mountain. On our first day we lunched at Le Spot, we had a similar type of food and finished up with a bill twice the amount that we would discover at Le Freddy. Admittedly the setting and experience are vastly different but we certainly thought that for our requirements, Le Freddy was an easy winner.

An exceptional place, an incredible view, simple but excellent, adorable bosses, it is really worth climbing. Unique experience.
