Decent food service. We avoided this place because of negative reviews, but were pleasantly surprised upon our visit. I had the veggie burger, it was a bit crumbly but I used my knife fork and it tasted great. My boyfriend had an Eggs Benedict which looked really good with perfectly runny poached eggs. <br/ <br/ Our server was speedy, eager and patient. Had our food and drinks within 20 minutes. We came during non-peak hours, so I can't comment on how it is when it is busy. But from our experience, the servers are friendly and fast.
Something to look forward to.... I have had the enjoyment of great food and fine beers at Caffé Barney on two occasions now. On my first visit, I took a friend, newly arrived from California: He loved the place. The food took a while, but the wait was pleasant with good humoured banter between staff and customers. It's a place I look forward to visiting when I'm in the area. The food offerings are interesting and very tasty and the variety of beers is outstanding.
Nice spot. I do like the interior very much, it has a cozy type feel with the art, the brickwork, and the bar area. The patio is tiny but it feels very intimate with great views up and down Main Street. I felt so indecisive and everyone I was with started ordering so I just went with the burger, i forget exactly what it was called but it was something the effect of 'the burger ' lol. It was pretty good! The beer prices were a tad cheaper than the average joint, the Fat Tug Pale Ale was good as always. Cool place!
Great service, average food. You get what you pay for at this spot.
