The menu is simple, a single sheet, the choices diverse and interesting. They are not cooking “old standbys but rather creative explorations in taste. The venue is small and not very fancy but the atmosphere is welcoming and made us feel cared for. Each of the dishes was beautifully presented with great care to the tenants of a great dish: flavors, texture, fresh and correctly prepared. Lastly our … – show
This place is definitely a must try. Started with the sour dough that rivals Table X. It's chewy and fantastic. Next we had the leek pasta, wow. Wow. You must try this pasta. Perfectly balanced and delicious. Next we had the chicken pot pie, maybe it was an off night because it was very salty and there weren't enough veggies in the sauce. Finally we had two desserts that weren't notable. I say skip the dessert but stay for the pasta.
I’ve been meaning to leave this review for a few weeks, since I visited for brunch. Carmencita's birthday spectacular, spectacular!!! No words in the vernacular can describe this great event!!! Special thanks to James Beard nominated Andrew Fuller (Owner/Executive Chef) and the rest of the Oquirrh Staff for making the evening memorable.
Come as you are an enjoy one of the best meals you’ll ever have. SLC hidden gem didn’t disappoint. Make a reservation or call to check on table availability. Oquirrh is cozy and intimate, so you may have to wait, but it’s well worth it. Get the milk braised potatoes, they will change your life. Also not to be missed is the sour dough bread, the chicken pot pie and the duck. This is an SLC must!
