Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI have been to the Oystercatcher twice now, both times the food was great. I had 6 kussie oysters and they were delish...also had the shrimp and crab melt this time, its was a bit underwhelming. There was more bread than crab and shrimp. The truffle fries are great. Others had the oyster Po Boy and that was really tasty. The moules and frites (mussels and fries) are also excellent. Great service, great music, great location
The Oystercatcher offers good basic food, music, and drink with plenty of outdoor tables with a view of nearby boats in the harbor. Loved the seafood chowder and salad.
We stopped for a glass of wine. The scenery was nice, the music that night was average and the service disorganized and did not get the bill for two glasses of wine correct. We did not return to eat.
We went our first night on Salt Spring. There was an excellent musician playing, we sat outside on the patio looking at the harbour. All was right except for the food. My ribs were clearly re-heated, dry and hard. For dessert I had "homemade apple pie". Thought it tasted like something I had tasted before. The lady at the next table told me it came from Costco. This meal was quite expensive. Need I say more?
My wife and I stopped for lunch she ordered the Fish taco and I fish and chips. The service was friendly but slow. My wife said the tacos where not her taste. My halibut and chips was very small about 1/2 what you would get at c-lovers. They serve it with an Aioli sauce that is horrible compared to tarter sauce. It was not the worst meal I have had in a restaurant however sometime experiments don't work and that sure the case here. Ps did not feel all that well after the meal.
