Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI used to visit this restaurant as a new local spot, but it has now become a disappointing experience. The server is rude and ignores customers for a long time before bringing water and a menu. The food used to make up for the poor service, but now everything tastes freezer-burned and of low quality. I will not be returning, and it seems like other locals have also been let down.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and budget-friendly, offering a stunning view of the golf course from the terrace. The only area for improvement was the service. It seemed that there may have been a communication issue as we never saw the same server twice, from taking our orders to receiving our bills. Although the server who presented our bills was friendly, we felt slightly neglected during our meal on the terrace. I had to fetch my own napkin and go without water as nobody came to refill our glasses. Despite this, everyone enjoyed the food and I would definitely come back again.
Salt sping has more places to eat per head than any place I know, at least go to constant dwellers. and they were all thoroughly checked with taking this place, so if my wife and I had to come to ss (from brentwood bay.) for one day I thought we would go so that others have more than one opinion to go on. I just know SS residents keep it secret. it is located in the clubhouse of the local golf club, about two minutes from ganges. many parking places, a large, slightly tired room, which is 50 seats, so they are not crowded. take a table away from the windows, and no one will be a word hea they say. beautiful view of the golf course and a covered deck, which at least 50 seats. the waitress said that deck is in the regular full summer. friendly waitress, very fast service (but there were only eight other customers on februar Wednesday we were there.) good coffee, typical menu ten types of burger, suppen, salate, all kinds of appetizers, many types of (small only) pizza. four maines: fish and chips, salmon, ripen, mush (local, I think, and ss has big mushes), and pasta. mary had fish and chips and said it was excellent. the bite that she allowed me proved to be her rather old-fashioned dark dough, very crispy, not oily at all. one of the best I ever had. more beautiful, even with a brownish vinagrette. I had a bacon/blue cheeseburger, and the only mistake was that the speck was cooked crispy and crumbled while I like bacon limp. I think most people would think this burger excellent. it was good enough that I ate it all, instead of taking home, and I ate all green salate as well, made with several types of salat and other things. I was full and made the mistake to try one of mary's pommes, which she had virtuosoly stopped from finishing. next I knew I had eaten them all and could hardly move. very small wine list, with house red and white at $23/litre, pretty good in B.C. several nice draughts at $6/pint, very good price. I don't know how busy this place is in the summer, but if I were her, I'd go through gangs and give him a chance. I bet lunch on the deck with a pint on a beautiful day would be near the sky. burger, fish and chips, two coffees with refills, 33 $ inclusive tax. good. we come back, whether we have reason to visit the island or not.
Located within the Salt Spring Island Golf and Country Club, this small restaurant is a hidden gem that should not be missed. Open for breakfast and serving top-notch rib dinners on weekends, the menu offers a variety of delicious options such as grilled cheese sandwiches, juicy burgers, and flavorful Caesar salads. The restaurant even has a unique hot dog machine that ensures a quick meal option. Beer enthusiasts will appreciate the rotating selection of brews available. Enjoy a cold drink on the deck while watching golfers play through the 9th hole. Overall, this restaurant offers a great dining experience on Salt Spring Island.
What started out as a new place for locals to visit has now turned into a below average experience. The servers are mouthy and will fully ignore you for 20 minutes before you even get water and a menu. The food used to be worth the awful service. Now it all tastes like freezer burn and cheap quality ****. Sorry, Not returning. Lost a couple of locals.
