I was just as impressed by everything as I was 30 years ago. One thing changed, they're out of the basement and in a space fitting for mortons. Had bacon wrapped sea scallops, **** rare filet mignon, souffle corn, chocolate souffle to name more worthy dishes!
Had a wonderful Wagyu filet with the smoked Gouda and bacon potatoes! Very delicious and great service!
It was very crowded and noisy. We had to wait a bit and the server got our order wrong. However, the service was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the porterhouse steak and the Australian Wagyu. Food was not spectacular but good. I did enjoy the Brussel sprout and the spinach/mushroom side dish. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to Morton's. But, if I'm meeting someone in the city and they wanted steak, I'm good with coming back.
Morton’s steaks, of course reliably superb, and this time around I was delightedly impressed with the sautéed spinach and mushrooms. But what truly brought the experience over the top for us, and into the realm of the transcendently splendid, was the exceptional service, warmth, and attention we received from Isaac, our absolutely wonderful server; exquisite service makes all the difference. We will return sooner rather than later — it’s so convenient for we local theatergoers – and ask for a table in Isaac’s section.
