While traveling in the area, I was in the mood for some classic Pho soup and found the perfect spot. This authentic Vietnamese mom and pop shop had generous portions and a laid-back atmosphere. The soup was absolutely delicious, although my hunger probably played a part in that too. It's not the place for upscale dining or fancy dishes, but it hit the spot for a satisfying meal.
Best Banh Xeo I’ve ever had! They were ginormous and filled with plenty of pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts. Comes with plenty of fresh vegetables on the side. Highly recommend!
This restaurant has been around since the late 1970s, when Dionne Warwick was singing about San Jose. Da Lat is a large city in central Vietnam. The food is good, but the decor is lacking. Prices are lower than most other places, especially the newer, trendier spots. This is a traditional Vietnamese restaurant, popular with an older clientele. The menu offers a variety of dishes, but Da Lat excels at rice dishes and cold noodle bowls. The pho may not be their specialty. The egg rolls and spring rolls were delicious. I tried the grilled pork chop rice plate, which was generous enough for two people. Locals, students, and even police officers dine here. Parking can be a challenge, with some people parking on the sidewalk. The focus at Da Lat is on the food, not the atmosphere. Nonetheless, many have been coming here for over 40 years.
Fantastic food at a reasonable price!
