Basil - San Miguel de Cozumel

Comimos en este lugar porque el sitio donde originalmente queríamos ir estaba cerrado. Pedimos la ensalada de albahaca y los ravioles de camarones con salsa de crema chipotle. ¡Ambos estaban increíbles! Sobre todo la pasta. ¡La salsa! También nos trajeron una salsa macha y una salsa de fresa asada que eran de otro mundo. Las fotos de las salsas incluidas (es un poco raro porque nos sumergimos en ellas). El chico que nos atendió fue muy agradable, podría ser el dueño. Éramos los únicos en el lugar, también por la COVID y comiendo un poco tarde. ¡Pero debería estar lleno! Una muy bonita sorpresa.

Sorprendente y agradecido. Pasta fresca preparada ante ti. Se nota el cuidado en cada plato. Personas encantadoras, comida sabrosa y deliciosa. Un lugar increíble a un precio notable. ¡Vale la pena visitarlo!

El servicio fue acogedor y paciente. La comida que probamos fue increíble. ¡Pasta fresca delante de nosotros! Pedimos dos platos de pasta y todo estaba muy bueno y delicioso. Las porciones fueron generosas y el precio fue adecuado. Se puede ver que el espacio de trabajo estaba inmaculado y limpio. No puedo decir suficientes cosas buenas sobre esta joya, ¡intentar visitarla será un verdadero placer!

Beautiful mix of taste in the wine paste I thoroughly enjoyed; actually phenomenal. the salat my wife had was excellent and delicious for the last bite. handmade pasta. eat fresh made as they wait. will return.

As a frequent visitor to Cozumel, and other parts of Mexico, I understand there are times when your taste buds may want something other than the fresh, incredible Mexican food that can be enjoyed there. While spending some time in Cozumel my wife and I came across this cute little eatery called “Basil”. It’s a beautiful walk from the touristy area and one we highly recommend. You will pass colorful homes and of course, some of the most beautiful people in the world. Speaking of beautiful people, that is what will be waiting for you at Basils. We were greeted with ear to ear smiles from the most genuinely nicest people we have come across in a long time. The gentleman, who no doubt was the owner and chef, took his time explaining the menu. If you like “fresh made to order food” this place is for you! Even the pasta is made right at the shop. The ingredients are super fresh and cooked to perfection. I had a pasta with an assortment of vegetables. The veggies were excellently prepared yielding a perfect, mouth watering meal. At the present Basils has limited seating. If I am not mistaken there are four to six seats making it perfect for a couple. But don’t let that stop you from having the best pasta on the island, (or quite possibly the world! Take out is easy and painless. The Chef and associates are on hand ready to help you with your order. This is more than a review. It’s a sincere “thank you” for the two memorable meals we enjoyed. Thank you for your kindness, patience and of course, excellent food. Basils has become “part of our trip to Cozumel” and we would not think of visiting Coz again without grabbing another delicious meal there. Be the “hero” in your group and bring everyone to Basils!!
