We enjoyed the peach and tomato salad and an order of truffle fries. The food was good as usual. The wait staff needs to learn to let patrons enjoy their meal without so many interruptions. And, busters should not be trying to clear plates that clearly still have food on them. So irritating! Try learning from the Europeans!
Intermezzo is a favorite of ours and has been for a while now. They have a new chef and the food offerings are becoming even better. Wonderful Alaskan halibut and a new filet Mignon dish are both great additions. And their already delicious pizza has gotten even better!! The crust is really fantastic. We had a great time the day after the 4th of July. Highly recommend to everyone. And a big shout out to John the owner for stopping by and spending some time with us!
One of Santa Barbara's best! Intermezzo consistently makes us happy! The food is great and the service staff are friendly and accommodating. The owner is always present and sharing fun stories. The place can get very busy particularly on Lobero theater and SB Bowl show nights... so keep that in mind. Plan accordingly. Just a really fun restaurant. We highly recommend. Try the pizza, It's killer!!
My guest and I had a rocking great time at Intermezzo. Although I can't drink due to medication I'm on, I had an Arnold Palmer. Lovely combo of some kind of exotic tea and lemonade. We started with the little gem salad and split it. The dressing was really good. Then we had a shrimp dish entree sized. What a yum that one was. (It came in appetizer size too. Darren came over from behind the bar to say hello as he comes into the Pickle Room where I first met him. I've been going to Intermezzo since it opened in the aughts, and have gone through all the changes with it. Remains one of my favorite places to eat. Our waiter was terrific. We were going to a show at the Lobero and had plenty of time to enjoy the meal and walk over.
