Second time was today Monday at 5:00p Both times I ordered the southern Chicken salad with ranch dressing on the side The salad was better the first time. Only because it was made correctly. Second time Xavier my server was very unpleasant when asked about other items on the menu as well as forgetting to put the charred corn in the salad as well as the little garlic roll. Because, my visit was a Togo order the second time. I wasn’t about to return to have them fix it. Really too bad this experience had to be unpleasant. I’m here working out of town. Thought I’d bring my coworkers in after work to have dinner. Won’t be happening!!! Update: 2/19/24 Reached out via email to Rob with contact information to hopefully resolve my unpleasant experience. Rob never contacted me. Unfortunately, I was there out of town working the Genesis Invitational Golf Tournament. It would have been nice to bring my coworkers for dinner after work. Definitely will not support this restaurant in the years to follow :
I just had the best burger ever. Holy Cow knocked it out of the park. Thanks to the chef, and to Conner and Sophie for the great hospitality. That hamburger with cheddar and pickles and sauce, oh my, one of my all time favorites. Great job Holy Cow team.
Awesome! Great food. Staff is topnotch in friendly service
I've been out of the States for a while and needed some BBQ on my trip back to LA. A friend recommended this place and I was not disappointed. A delicious BBQ set, garlic roll and slaw. Ask for their in-house ghost pepper BBQ sauce.
Visited Holy Cow in Santa Monica recently as I was craving BBQ. The atmosphere/space was super cute and upscale and easy to access. I ordered several things. First the not so great. I ordered the BBQ chicken jerky visually looked amazing. But I think the kitchen staff must have heated/reheated the chicken jerky on a big gas stove and the gas fumes somehow got into the food. I taste this from time to time at other restaurants and is probably a training or mechanical issue. The other issue is all the meat food items were not hot enough (with the exception of the mac and onion rings).... this may be due to the metal plates the meat was served on vs using porcelain that helps retain heat and keep the food warm on the plate. Or maybe they just didn't warm it enough. Within minutes the food was cold. Hence I removed one star. On the other hand, the brisket, onion strings and mac were really good. I am looking forward to trying Holy Cow's ribs soon!
