Asked for a tequila sunrise and got looked at like I had two heads. After the staff got together they finally decided it was acceptable to order. More to come on that. Food came reasonably quick, and the chimis were great, however the drinks were a train wreck. Margaritas that weren 't mixed properly and a tequila sunrise that has several bugs in it. When I let the staff know they took my drink without a word. The I 'm assuming manager came out and gave me basically a well it happens, it 's fruit, want another one. No sir, that 's a final strike. Didn 't even offer to take it off our bill. Giving them two stars solely for the food, I 'd set your expectations appropriately when attending now.
Stopped in with customers for lunch during a recent business trip. The food wasn 't too bad, but the service was nothing to be proud of. When we arrived and were seated, the server who seated us took our drink order immediately. While she was gone, another server came to the table to take our drink order. We mentioned that someone had already taken the order, to which she replied Oh you 're not even my table. Sorry. and scampered away. When the chips and salsa came, there was about 1/2 of a basket for 4 of us the chips were not so great and there was barely enough salsa. She came back with another half basket, but no more salsa. When our food order was taken, it seemed to take forever for the food to arrive. The server came back at least twice during that time to see if everything was OK well, sure, except that we didn 't have any food yet! Then the food came 3 plates. After three of us were served, she excused herself to get more and came back to inform us that the cook only saw 3 dishes on the order and had to make up the last one. So another 5 minutes passed until everyone in the party was served. The first three were only moderately warm by that time. When 3 of the 4 forks were set down toward the end of the meal, back came our server to start clearing the table. To me, this is one of the worst habits that American restaurants do in the name of good service. When one person is still eating and the staff starts shuffling dishes around sort of like saying OK it 's time to go! To say the least, I was not impressed.
My rating is based on authentic Mexican food in the city of Chicago. If it was just from Wisconsin I would have rated it higher. The burrito was great. It was hot and the seasoned meat inside was delicious. The staff was courteous and did a good job.
My boyfriend and I have gone for dinner and was impressed and then stopped in for breakfast, and Holy smokes. The meal he got was full of flavor, I dint recall the name but it was served divorciados style. My omelet was also delicious. The hasbrowns were very flavorful!
Visiting the area and staying the night in a hotel, we decided to order out for Mexican food. Having lived in border cities and a frequent visitor to Mexico, I was curious how the food up here would be. I was surprised that it was actually pretty dang good, huge portions, quick service and a fairly decent menu. I would of given it 5 stars but they forgot to put in utensils and napkins, so staying at a hotel and being forced to eat with fingers and chips gave it a lower rating.
