Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónAs someone with Celiac disease who is extra sensitive to gluten, eating out can be a frustrating experience. When I read the reviews for Breakfast Pig, I knew I had to give it a try. During our vacation in Michigan, we drove into Canada just to dine at this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The menu is extensive and if you inform them of your gluten-free needs, they will explain the modifications available to accommodate you. There are numerous safe options to choose from and almost the entire menu can be tailored to be gluten-free, depending on your level of sensitivity. The staff was friendly and well-informed about gluten-free options. Even my family members who do not have gluten restrictions enjoyed their breakfasts.
The waiter was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and assured me that the pancakes, waffles, and French toast could be prepared safely for those with celiac. They also suggested a few other breakfast options that could be made gluten-free by substituting the English muffin for regular bread. I opted for the gluten-free waffle with strawberries and bacon (avoid the sausage, as it contains gluten) and it was delicious!
The Breakfast Pig is a perfect place for people with celiac disease! They offer gluten-free pancakes, waffles, and toast. The server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about celiac disease. I ordered an omelette and breakfast potatoes, which she confirmed would be prepared gluten-free. Everything was delicious and I had no problems. We will definitely return!
Delicious breakfast fare. All waffles, pancakes, and French toast have a gluten free option. Not sure how safe it is for celiac, but for the average gluten-intolerant, it is delectable.
They have gluten free pancakes and French toast (the GF waffles are made on the same skillet as the regular waffles). Their ham and bacon is gluten free as are their eggs. They can also substitute toast. Their gravy and hollandaise is not gluten free. Overall fairly good food but it took a while for us to get the food after ordering. Whether that was a one off occurrence or a common thing I’m not sure.
