Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWith the prices they charged ,I was expecting a large portion good quality , 4 people $200 for lunch ,one drink each ,pub food disgusting service and wait. Why would anyone pay that much ,you would be better off at the keg. Next night went...to CBYC for dinner 1/3 the price better service , better food
Very pleasant meal with excellent service. A variety of fish, chicken, steak and vegetarian dishes. $20-40+ but starters are under $20. All staff wearing marks and tables distanced. Indoor or outdoor dining.
Yesterday I enjoyed a delicious late lunch with friends at Bluffers Restaurant and was pleased to discover that not only had the restaurant survived the pandemic, the owners have renovated, and hired a new chef and wait staff. The food was delicious and the view...and ambience unbeatable. Service was attentive and we were not rushed at all. I had the feeling we could have stayed as long as we wanted to. It was even easy to drive down the hill and find parking on a weekday. The restaurant came under new ownership about 3 years ago and the quality of food has significantly changed for the better. We are former Beachers and we had originally set out to enjoy lunch on Queen Street for old times sake and a change of scenary but the traffic, congestion and parking issues got the better of me and we decided it was not worth the hassle. We will return to the tranquil, idyllic Bluffers Restaurant as often as we can. It's a treasure. P.S. We ordered the veggie burger, halibut and fish tacos and were very pleased!
I am very lucky as the Bluffs and this restaurant are in my neighbourhood. A friend and I shared the Grilled Octopus appetizer cooked perfectly. I had the grilled salmon with rice and vegetables which had been tossed with garlic. Salmon was perfect NOT...overcooked like so many places do it. My friend had their burger. He enjoyed it very much and the fries were amazing. We indulged in dessert hazelnut Gelato for me and Tiramisu for him. Both were delicious. Lunch was not inexpensive. All restaurants are facing higher prices, but it was so worth it. The view alone is worth a million dollars.
My wife and I had our lunch of fish and chips (upgraded to sweet potato chips with a small surcharge). Beer was served nicely cold. Great weather and scenery was fantastic as usual. This was our first visit since the pandemic of last year. We...had our lunches there many times indoor by the window in the past with reservations, and the first time dining outside, walk-ins now. Breath of fresh air and closer to nature made a good difference. Service was great. However, the meal was very unsatisfactory. overcooked and dry, potato was very oily and soggy. My wife did not eat a single piece of the chip. Fish and sweet potato chips was the meal that we had many times in the past and was fantastic. I was told it is under new management the second time since the pandemic. I will definitely not returning, and will advise my contacts likewise.
